Martin Luther King Jr. Day

On this day when we honor the life and legacy of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., I feel honored to share one of his many quotes that provides a compass for us to navigate life by. “The time is always right, to do what’s right.”

These simple words provide a foundation and focus for the APWU Health Plan. Please know that here at the Health Plan, we strive to do what’s right for our members every day, whether it’s answering a quick question or helping solve a complex health care challenge, we are here for you and dedicated to doing what is right.

Enjoy this special day as we reflect on the life and principles of Reverend Doctor King… Together Better Health

Thanksgiving Message

Who doesn’t love this time of year? Family and friends coming together at the Thanksgiving table to give thanks for our many blessings. Here at the APWU Health Plan, we have much to be thankful for. We are very thankful for our members and their families who trust us with their care. We don’t take that responsibility lightly. Working with our partners at Cigna and UnitedHealthcare, we are always researching new and better ways to provide service, more comprehensive care, and keeping you healthy!  Because our members own our health plan, your feedback is always welcome. Either with comments here, through our many social media channels, or a quick phone call to our customer care representatives. Take a moment to view our Thanksgiving video below. Most importantly, be sure to tell your friends and family that you are thankful they are a part of your life. We are thankful you are part of ours. Happy Thanksgiving!

Sincerely,
John L. Marcotte

Happy Veterans Day

As a Navy veteran, today holds a very special meaning to me and my fellow brothers and sisters who served our country in uniform. I was one of the lucky ones. I received great training in the Navy’s Nuclear Power Program, served on board the USS California for multiple deployments and upon discharge, I was able to enjoy civilian life with my wife and three children. Too many of our veterans were not as fortunate as I and live with the consequences of honorably serving in our military. I think about that every day.

APWU-VETSI have been blessed with a great career with the US Postal Service and am now honored to serve my union family as the Director of our Health Plan. Join me and our entire team at APWUHP by appreciating the vets in your life.

Happy Veterans Day. Today and every day. Click here to see our special Veterans Day tribute.

Sincerely,
John L. Marcotte
